Hugh,
Looking forward to the new book! It's right where we are as a church. We're trying to transition and work it out.
Thanks,

Hi Hugh,

Just wanted to say 'what a life-changing book'!!

I'm pastoring a 200 - 300 person church right now, but as of April, will be going into a missionary work with British soldiers in here in Germany. I'm planning on working around a lot of what was recommended in the book, and seeing God at work.

I've done the work before (7 yrs.), then moved in to be an interim Pastor at this International Church in Dusseldorf. It has been a stretching and learning experience, but truth be told, I can't wait to get into the possibility of seeing incarnational community with the soldiers.

I may try to keep you posted...no promises!!

All the best.
William.

Fantastic!

With respect the TK is far more interesting than any C.S. Lewis material I've read thus far. I currently attend Colorado Christian University, possibly they may be interested in your book....?

Continued success!

Ever hear the group, "One Bad Pig"? They did a punk rawk version of this and Johnny actually participated in it. It's great. Don't know where you could find it now... but it would be worth the hunt.

Hugh Baby,

Because you have become the "Legend of Clackamas High" and the Class of 1983 had so many stud muffins packed into it, how about a trek up the Mt Hood to the summit this April?? Love to have you. What say you?

By the way I never knew you use to grind or pump out sermons in Portland! That kind of crap puts a man into the grave early, thats about all it does!

Just wanted to add this...I am a Pastor of two country churches between nowhere and next to nowhere, and I have been preaching a teaching HARD on the Acts chapter two principle since I arrived here a year and a half ago. We have seen some progress externally as well as internally. Our Denominational Leader is promoting your book and we are hopefully all going to have a chance at a copy at our spring conference, as well as a chance to meet with one of the authors...Being back in the woods like this, it will be refreshing to get a hold of a book like this to share with the congregation and leadership, so they too can capture the vision of the first century church, and be a blessing to the kingdom of God. My D.L. let me sift through the primer at our last pastors retreat last week...and I am excited about where our leadership has placed their vision. I think "the church" has become a very inward focused group and that many of our churches are like Country Clubs. Sure I will get in trouble for saying this...but that is OK...the truth hurts sometimes. But better to hurt now than "Later"...if you know what I mean. I would rather be recognized by Christ than be told He never knew me.

To me a "Non-theologian" is the opposite of a theologian. Many theologians are trying to understand who God is, so they can explain who He is, while "non-theologians" are more conserned with showing who God is with their lives.

Hi Hugh. Thanks for the primer you gave me at Exponential. I bought a second one. My wife, Chery, and I are on chapter seven and like what we are reading. We are seriously thinking about starting an incarnational movement here in the Cleveland suburbs. I am working with a guy in Springfield, OH, who is reaching people via house churches; he is working through your primer (Dave: ). I just met with a third, Phil, in Indianapolis, IN who is also considering. Are you coming to the midwest any time soon? I found out about your October 2-3 event but was unable to attend. What is next on the agenda for workshops? Do you have any contacts working your approach here in the IN/OH region? We are interested in the next step. We have been reaching out in our neighborhood but would like to get really serious about more. God bless. Ron Boehm
